Ironwood Academy is a hybrid program for parents who want more control over their child's educational experience. We combine the best of a homeschool tutorial and a flexible traditional school, offering college-preparatory courses in a Christian environment taught by the most qualified and engaging teachers.

Amy Bugg

Elementary Language Arts Instructor

Amy Bugg joins Ironwood Academy to teach Language Arts in our elementary program.  She has over twenty years elementary teaching experience.  For the past three years, Amy has taught fourth grade at Battle Ground Academy’s Lower School in Franklin, TN.  From 2010 to 2017, Amy taught fourth grade at Walnut Grove Elementary.  She began her teaching career at Walnut Grove and she taught fifth grade there for 12 years before transitioning to fourth grade.  Amy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Middle Tennessee State University.  Amy lives with her husband, Konnor, and daughter, Bella, in Franklin. She enjoys shopping, reading, traveling, and spending time with family. She and her husband stay very busy traveling locally and out of state to watch their daughter compete in various golf tournaments.
